Certification

The MCFOA provides members with the opportunity to obtain designation as a Minnesota Certified Municipal Clerk (MCMC) and a Minnesota Master Municipal Clerk (MMMC).  Certification is based on work and educational experience as outlined in the application forms below.

As of March 22, 2019, the MCFOA Board of Directors has approved minor, procedural changes to the MCMC and MMMC certification processes.  Successful applicants will now receive their certificate and pin via mail immediately upon approval of their application.  A wall plaque for display of the certificate can be purchased for an additional fee.  All of those who have earned certification in the past year will be recognized at the awards luncheon during the Annual Conference.
